Bio

Rick Canter is owner and founder of Versatile Strength. He has spent years training athletes at multiple division one universities including the University of Pittsburgh, Auburn University, and Robert Morris University. Currently he serves as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Robert Morris University. Rick received his undergraduate degree in exercise science at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in strength and conditioning.

The programs we provide are all geared toward the same goal: Enhanced Performance. Whether your an athlete trying to improve your ability on the field or a weekend warrior striving to obtain better overall fitness, Verastile Strength aims at helping you meet your physical goals. Below is a list of the programs that we offer to our clientle in the greater Pittsburgh area. Training programs are designed around the amount of time you can devote to your physical goal.
Sport Performance
The sport performance program is designed specifically around the physical demands of the sport the athlete is participating in. While entering this program athletes will use a variety of strength training and conditioning methods to enhance athletic performance on the playing field.
Weight Loss
Need to shed a few pounds? No Problem! Our weight loss programs are individually designed to accommodate your needs in order to reach the body weight goal you desire. Different training methods are incorporated to challenge the entire body to accelerate you into a fat burning machine! Nutritional recommendations will assist in this process.
Versatile Strength Level I, II, III, and IV
This program is designed for the person who strives for a challenge. The individual will be exposed to a variety of methods and styles in strength and conditioning used today! Each level will entail more detailed and intense training programs for you to overcome. Powerlifting, Olympic Lifting, Kettlebell training, Strongman training, and much more are utilized throughout the program. Once a level is complete you will exceed to the next. Got the Guts?
Military/Law Enforcement PT Preparation & Maintence
The tactical preparation program is designed towards preparing Police and Military personnel for physical testing exams. Once testing has been completed a program designed to maintain as well as enhance physical test scores will be administered.
Powerlifting Training
Squat, Bench, and Dead-lift. The big three are the staple of this intense program. The end goal? Bigger numbers. Individuals in this program will be encouraged to compete in local and national competitions throughout their training with us.
